Hi Everyone,

We hope you had a great bank holiday weekend and are keeping on top of all the work.

So, why the picture of Kardashians and Jared Leto in the header with that quote? The Met Gala was held on the 1st of May and the theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Karl Otto Lagerfeld was a German fashion designer, creative director, artist and photographer who passed away in 2019. Leto came as Choupette, the pet that Carl reportedly left £1.3m ($1.6m) in his will and scored a major publicity land grab. Wonder what Carl would say about the sweatpants trends in the last 3 years, the must-have fashion item of all those virtual meetings.

Again, you would be correct to ask, ‘why are you telling me this’? Our answer to that would be, ‘we had to grab your attention somehow as the attention spans these days last no more than 5 seconds’.

So, after another one of our unnecessary intros, you might be asking again, what is it that you do?

The short answer is – We solve your business problems, that is what we do.

We could also say that we run Startup School and offer Marketing Services, Website Design, IT Solutions and Bid & Tender Support.

Our newsletter is not long, it aims to inform, inspire and educate, while at the same time remind you that we exist and that you should remember us when you have some money to spend on a project.

Startup School: The first bit of news is about the Startup School that we delivered at the University of Liverpool.

We had over 30 participants with us over 3 intensive days with the best ones presenting to a panel of our experts. A number of workshops were delivered by business owners who shared their experiences to date and offered valuable advice to participants. The best 7 startups were also awarded small grants to support them in testing out and developing their initial idea.

The hypothesis that we proved this time was that a lot can be achieved with a limited budget and a good idea. The next Startup School will be run in June and if you would like to find out more please feel free to get in touch. The promotional video for our Startup School can be viewed here.

Thinking of selling your business: For many business owners there comes a time when they are thinking of selling their business. What is the process and how does it all work?

We partnered up with M&A Deal Platform that aims to make transaction process as easy as possible and offers access to a network of buyers, advisors and experts in the field.

If you would like to value your business, please feel free to head over to our website and enter some figures on the ‘Value my Company’ page.

That First Million: This is where we inspire you and share with you the stories of successful businesses. Today’s story is about Jeff Dewing, founder of Cloudfm. Jeff who is 58 made his fortune and lost it at the age of 39. He started out as a fridge and air conditioning engineer and in 2012 started his second business, facilities management company Cloudfm, from his garden shed and invested £10,000 savings. In four years, the company’s turnover grew from £1m to £70m. More on that story can be found here.
